How is Hib diagnosed?

Your doctor will be able to diagnoses Hib from your symptoms and an examination.
Diagnosis of Hib may include:
- physical examination
- blood test
- test of the fluid around the spine (cerebrospinal fluid)
- tests of other specimens where necessary.
