What are the symptoms of giardia?

The symptoms of giardia appear around 7 to 10 days after infection but may not appear for several weeks. Symptoms of giardia may include:
- Acute or chronic diarrhoea
- Weight loss
- Fatigue
- Abdominal cramps
- ‘Floaty’ stools that contain more fat than normal and can be difficult to flush.
